Privacy Notice

This notice explains the details heat-pump-rebates.com gathers, their purpose, where a quote request goes, and how you control it.

Who publishes this site

Brighton Incentive Network Inc., 1201 North Market Street, Suite 1401, Wilmington, DE 19801, United States, operates heat-pump-rebates.com and is responsible for the personal details this notice covers.

What the site collects

  • Requests for quotes. When you ask for installer prices, you give your name, an email address, a phone number, your timeline, the system you have in mind, and the home's ZIP code.
  • Records from the server. Every visit creates one log line. It holds the time, the page opened, the browser type, the page that brought you here, and an IP address.
  • Counts of visits. One small script, written for this site, counts how you use the ZIP finder and calculators, plus page views, reading time, and clicks on links to program websites. Only this site receives those tallies. This site sets no cookies and runs no outside analytics or ad tags.
  • On your own device. The ZIP finder can save, in your browser, the last ZIP you entered, so it is ready for your next visit. The value never leaves your device.

Why the details are collected

We pass a quote request on to heat pump installers, or to a firm that matches homeowners with installers, so they can price your project. The site is kept running by logs and visit counts, which also protect it from abuse and flag rebate pages that need work.

Who receives a quote request?

The request is received by up to three installers, or by a single matching firm, that work in your ZIP code. The agreement beside the form allows those firms to reach out by call, text or email about the job. For each request we pass on, we may earn a fee. Outside those recipients, your form details go no further than the companies that host this site, plus an authority when a law requires it.

Sales and sharing of data

In some states, consumer privacy laws treat a paid transfer of quote requests to installers as selling personal information. California and Colorado are two examples. You can opt out at any time with a single visit to the Do Not Sell or Share page.

Record keeping

Quote requests are deleted within 24 months at most, and server logs within 90 days at most.

State law and your choices

People in states that have privacy laws, including California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah and Texas, may request a copy of the details held about them, corrections or erasure, or an end to selling or sharing. The site never treats you differently because you made a request. To ask, write "privacy request" and the email address you used before in the note form on the About page, which goes to the publisher only and never to an installer, or mail a letter to the address above. A reply comes within 45 days, and we may first confirm the request is really yours.

Children

The site is written for homeowners and renters aged 18 and over, and we never knowingly collect details from anyone under 18.
